On June 1, businesses, organizations and individuals will come together to celebrate the inaugural World Reef Day. The goal of the day is to shed light on the state of our global reefs, illustrate how individuals can make a change, and encourage them to take a stand.
Founded by Raw Elements and recognized by the National Day Calendar Association, World Reef Day is now the recurring annual day for the world to come together in awareness and activation to effect positive change for our world’s reefs.
Call-to-Action
Industrial pollution, plastic pollution, sewage, chemical sunscreens and unmanaged high-density tourism all threaten coral reefs. The reef destruction that has happened up until now has been caused by humans, and we can fix it.

As we all become more aware of the perils facing our oceans, we want to empower everyone to initiate simple changes in our daily lives, such as using reef-safe sunscreen and reducing plastic waste, which will have an enormous impact on the planet.”
WHAT YOU CAN DO
On June 1, join us as we create a viral movement to show the world how we can make simple choices today to save our reefs for tomorrow. Our goal is to take over social media to raise awareness of this issue.
